Habitat and Description: In loblolly pine - post oak forest on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs), on rolling upland landscape underlain by Eocene sand. Area burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Helianthus debilis, Oenothera heterophylla, Palafoxia hookeriana, Paspalum plicatulum, Phytolacca americana.
