Habitat and Description: Along road through burned-over loblolly pine - post oak woodland on hilltop underlain by Carrizo Sand, in soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs). Area burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Acalypha monococca, Alophia drummondii, Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Centrosema virginianum, Cnidoscolus texanus, Commelina erecta, Coreopsis sp., Croton capitatus, Cyperus filiculmis, C. "uniflorus," Diodia teres, Echinacea sanguinea, Eragrostis secundiflora, Eragrostis 30592, Gamochaeta purpurea, Heterotheca pilosa, Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Juncus marginatus, Mollugo verticillata, Palafoxia hookeriana, Panicum brachyanthum, Paspalum plicatulum, Rhynchosia latifolia, Rhynchospora harveyi. Rare.
