Locality: United States, TEXAS, Presidio, On Mimms Draw just NW of house and barns, ca. 1.2-1.4 airmiles NNW of jct. US Rt. 90 and St. Rt. 17 in downtown Marfa. Southeast part of Mimms Ranch (Dixon Water Foundation). Marfa Quadrangle. Elev. 4730-4740 ft.

Habitat and Description: In grassland within basin of flood-control reservoir, on very gently rolling landscape underlain by a mix of Perdiz Conglomerate (a fanglomerate of variable composition) and Quaternary alluvium. Associates included Amaranthus palmeri, Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Bothriochloa alta, Bouteloua gracilis, Brickellia chlorolepis, Chloris virgata, Conyza coulteri, Cucurbita foetidissima, Eragrostis cilianensis, E. pectinacea, Eriochloa acuminata, Machaeranthera gracilis, Mollugo verticillata, Panicum obtusum, Ratibida columnifera, Solanum citrullifolium, Sphaeralcea angustifolia, Thymophylla aurea, Tidestroemia lanuginosa, Verbesina encelioides. Plants low but bushy from base; rays white, numerous; rare.
