Habitat and Description: In sand and gravel along dry wash, between slopes underlain by tuffaceous sandstone and conglomerate of the Tascotal Formation. Associates included Aristida adscencionis, Boerhavia coccinea, Bouteloua curtipendula, Buddleja scordioides, Enneapogon desvauxii, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Heteropogon contortus, Perityle vaseyi, Poinsettia davidii, Verbena neomexicana. Rare in Mimosa and other protective shrubs.
