Habitat and Description:
In low herbaceous vegetation in moister spots in small openings in burned-over post oak - loblolly pine woodland, on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs), on gently rolling topography underlain by Carrizo Sand. Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Agrostis hyemalis, Callitriche sp., Drosera brevifolia, Gratiola flava, Hypoxis hirsuta, Isolepis carinatus, Juncus capitatus, Phalaris caroliniana, Phlox drummondii, Plantago sp., Senecio ampullaceus, Valerianella radiata. Frequent.
