Habitat and Description: In grassland on shallow stony clay soils on +/- level upland underlain by Salmon Peak Limestone, in formerly grazed area near old water tank. Associates included Agave lechuguilla, Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Aristida spp., Chamaesaracha sp., Croton monanthogynus, Digitaria cognata, Ditaxis sp., Hedeoma drummondii, Hilaria belangeri, Hymenoxys odorata, Jatropha cathartica, Lepidium sp., Mimosa sp., Quincula lobata, Ratibida columnifera, Sida abutifolia, Tetragonatheca texana. Common.
