Habitat and Description: In grassland openings in live oak woodland on gently sloping upland underlain by Glen Rose Limestone, on soils mapped as shallow, well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline silty clay (Doss Series, Typic Calciustolls). Associates included Bothriochloa ischaemum, Diospyros texana, Opuntia sp., Quercus fusiformis, Thelesperma filifolium. Occasional.
