Habitat and Description: In herbaceous wetland vegetation in partial shade of water oak and loblolly pine on moist sandy soil along broad bottom of creek draining Hoppy Spring. Area burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Cyperus strigosus, Eleocharis tortilis, Juncus validus, Ludwigia glandulosa, L. palustris, L. peploides, Persicaria hydropiperoides, Pluchea odorata, Pteridium aquilinum. Locally common.
