Habitat and Description: In lightly burned loblolly pine - post oak forest on nearly level upland underlain by Carrizo Sand, on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs). Area NOT burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Acalypha monococca, Centrosema virginianum, Chrysopsis pilosa, Clitoria mariana, Cnidoscolus texanus, Commelina erecta, Cyperus spp., Dichanthelium lanuginosum, D. linearifolium, Euphorbia corollata, Helianthemum georgianum, Helianthus debilis, Hieracium gronovii, Lechea tenuifolia, Lespedeza hirta, Liatris elegans, Mollugo verticillata, Monarda punctata, Paspalum plicatulum, Pediomelum rhombifolium, Phytolacca americana, Ruellia humilis, Schizachyrium scoparium, Thelesperma flavodiscum, Vernonia texana. Frequent.
