Locality: United States, TEXAS, Bastrop, In fenceline on E side of a N-S sand road, 1.1-1.2 airmiles SSE of jct. St. Rt. 21 and F. M. 1441 NE of Bastrop. Bastrop State Park. Smithville NW Quadrangle. Elev. 430 ft.

Habitat and Description: In tall thickety vegetation in very shallow poorly defined drainageway high on gently rolling landscape underlain by either Carrizo Sand or Reklaw Formation, on soils mapped as deep, well drained, slightly acid loamy fine sand (Silstid Series, Arenic Paleustalfs). Area burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Ambrosia psilostachya, Ampelopsis arborea, Cocculus carolinus, Croton capitatus, Diospyros virginiana, Helenium amarum, Heterotheca subaxillaris, Iva angustifolia, Paspalum floridanum, P. notatum, P. plicatulum, Ptilimnium capillaceum, Steinchisma hians. Rare in park, noted only here.
