Habitat and Description: In heavily grazed broomweed-dominated herbaceous vegetation on brown sandy clay at base of low isolated hill in fairly broad valley between limestone / calcareous sandstone slopes. Associates included Ambrosia psilostachya, Argemone albiflora, Cenchrus spinifex, Croton lindheimerianus, Eryngium leavenworthii, Monarda citriodora, Opuntia spp., Plantago aristata, Prosopis glandulosa, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Thelesperma filifolium, Verbena halei. Colony-forming perennial; rare.
