Habitat and Description: In open Ashe juniper - shin oak woodland on gentle gravelly slope underlain by limestone. Associates included Aristida purpurea, Bouteloua hirsuta, B. pectinata, Croton monanthogynus, Desmanthus velutinus, Echinocactus texensis, Evolvulus sp., Helianthus canescens, Hymenopappus tenuifolius, Mimosa roemeriana, Rhus lanceolata, Thymophylla pentachaeta, Tragia ramosa, Yucca pallida. Common.
