Habitat and Description: In sand and gravel on bars in unshaded bottom of flood-prone intermittent stream. Associates included Amaranthus palmeri, Ambrosia sp., Aristida adscencionis, Boerhavia coccinea, B. intermedia, Bouteloua aristidoides, Chamaesyce serrula, Cynodon dactylon, Dasyochloa pulchella, Datura wrightii, Eragrostis cilianensis, E. lehmanniana, Melampodium leucanthum, Mentzelia 31531, Nerisyrenia camporum, Nicotiana trigonophylla, Poinsettia davidii, Portulaca oleracea, Solanum citrullifolium, S. elaeagnifolium, Sphaeralcea angustifolia, Tidestroemia lanuginosa, Trianthema portulacastrum. Rare.
