Habitat and Description: In blue grama grassland on reddish, shallow to very shallow, well-drained, calcareous gravelly soils (Boracho-Espy association), on outwash plain in broad valley. Associates included Berlandiera lyrata, Bouteloua gracilis, Eriogonum sp., Kallstroemia parviflora, Mentzelia multiflora, Proboscidea fragrans, Scleropogon brevifolius, Solanum citrullifolium, Yucca sp., Zinnia grandiflora.
