Habitat and Description: In sandyland herbaceous vegetation in opening in post oak woodland, on gently landscape underlain by Queen City Sand, on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral fine sand Grossarenic Paleustalfs (Patilo Series). Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Species observed in this sandyland on 15 June and/or 30 August 2012 included Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Aristida desmantha, Berlandiera pumila, Brazoria truncata, Callicarpa americana, Carya texana, Centrosema virginianum, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Chamaesyce cordifolia, Chrysopsis pilosa, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croptilon 31590, Croton sp., Cyperus spp., Dalea microphylla, Diodia teres, Eriogonum annuum, Evax candida, Froelichia latifolia, Helianthemum georgianum, Helianthus debilis, Heterotheca pilosa, H. subaxillaris, Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Monarda punctata, Nama hispidum, Palafoxia hookeriana, Paronychia drummondii, Phyllanthus abnormis, Plantago hookeriana, Polanisia erosa, Rhynchosia latifolia, Triodanis sp., Vitis lincecumii. Plants large for genus; common.
