Habitat and Description: In grama-threeawn grassland on tight sandy soils, on gentle slope fairly low on a very gently rolling landscape underlain by a mix of Perdiz Conglomerate (a fanglomerate of variable composition) and Quaternary alluvium. Associates included Aristida 31863, Aristida ternipes, Bouteloua eriopoda, B. gracilis, Chaetopappa ericoides, Condalia ericoides, Croton pottsii, Dalea formosa, Dalea nana, Enneapogon desvauxii, Ephedra trifurca, Koeberlinia spinosa, Melampodium leucanthum, Muhlenbergia porteri, Nolina texana, Psilostrophe tagetina, Setaria 31859, Sporobolus contractus, Tidestroemia lanuginosa. Stems erect; disks and rays yellow; occasional.
