Habitat and Description: In emergent herbaceous vegetation on moist alluvial clay in unshaded backwater area of relatively large pond among gentle slopes underlain by Cretaceous limestone of the Travis Peak Formation. Associates included Calibrachoa parviflora, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Chamaesyce serpens, Conyza canadensis, Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus odoratus, Eclipta prostrata, Leucospora multifida, Salix nigra, Tamarix ramosissima, Xanthium strumarium. Culms creeping; common.
