Habitat and Description: In moist limestone gravel and alluvium in mostly unshaded bed of nearly perennial stream common. Associates included Agalinis heterophylla, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Aster praealtus, A. subulatus, Carex emoryi, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Chamaesyce prostrata, Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus odoratus, Dichanthium annulatum, Eclipta prostrata, Eupatorium serotinum, Fuirena simplex, Helenium elegans, Iva annua, Justicia americana, Leucospora multifida, Ludwigia spp., Marsilea sp., Panicum virgatum, Paspalum distichum, Persicaria sp., Pluchea odorata, Polanisia dodecandra, Polypogon monspeliensis, Salix nigra, Schoenoplectus sp., Sesbania macrocarpa, Setaria sp., Strophostyles helvola, Xanthium strumarium. Occasional.
