Habitat and Description: In juniper-oak woodland on fairly mesic steep slopes of short side-canyon, in hilly landscape underlain by Glen Rose Limestone. Associates included Acer grandidentatum, Adiantum capillus-veneris, Aesculus pavia, Arbutus xalapensis, Berberis trifoliolata, Carex planostachys, Celtis reticulata, Cercis canadensis var. texensis, Chaetopappa effusa, Chamaesyce angusta, C. villifera, Elymus virginicus, Eupatorium rugosum, Frangula caroliniana, Garrya lindheimeri, Ilex decidua, Juglans major, Juniperus ashei, Lespedeza texana, Linum rupestre, Mirabilis cf. albida, Parthenocissus quinquefolius, Passiflora affinis, Pellaea atropurpurea, Poinsettia cyathophora, Ptelea trifoliata, Quercus laceyi, Sabal minor, Smilax bona-nox, Sophora secundiflora, Styrax platanifolius ssp. stellatus, Toxicodendron eximium, Tragia nigricans, Tridens buckleyanus, Ungnadia speciosa, Vitis cinerea.
