Habitat and Description: Along interface between old field of King Ranch bluestem and strip of live oak - Ashe juniper woodland on valley flat between slopes underlain by Glen Rose limestone, just above floodplain of perennial creek. Associates included Baccharis neglects, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Juniperus ashei, Panicum virgatum, Quercus fusiformis, Smilax bona-nox, Tripsacum dactyloides, Verbesina virginica. Common.
