Habitat and Description: In bed of gravel road through grassland associated with post oak woodland on gently rolling landscape underlain by Reklaw Formation, on well drained, slightly acid, sandy gravelly soils mapped as Axtell-Tabor complex. Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Eragrostis secundiflora, Hypericum drummondii, Liatris mucronata, Opuntia sp., Pinus taeda, Prosopis glandulosa, Quercus stellata, Vaccinium arboreum.
