Habitat and Description: In grassland associated with post oak woodland on gently rolling landscape underlain by Reklaw Formation, on well drained, slightly acid, sandy gravelly soils mapped as Axtell-Tabor complex. Area lightly burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Ambrosia psilostachya, Andropogon ternarius, Aristida longespica, A. oligantha, Aster patens, Bothriochloa laguroides, Croton capitatus, C. monanthogynus, Digitaria cognata, Diodia teres, Eragrostis secundiflora, Helenium amarum, Hypericum drummondii, Lechea sp., Lespedeza hirta, Liatris aspera, L. mucronata, Opuntia sp., Paspalum notatum, Polygonum ramosissimum, Schizachyrium scoparium, Solidago radula, Sporobolus compositus, Steinchisma hians, Tephrosia virginiana, Trichostema dichotomum, Vernonia texana. Frequent.
