Habitat and Description:
On bank of rather deep pond (erstwhile stock tank) on upland landscape of oak woodlands and clearings underlain by Eocene sediments of the Calvert Bluff Formation, on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, slightly acid fine sandy loam (Axtell Series, Udertic Paleustalfs). Associates included Echinodorus berteroi, Panicum virgatum, Paspalum floridanum, Sesbania vesicaria. Rare.
