Habitat and Description:
In partial shade of post oak - eastern redcedar woodland on gentle slope underlain by Eocene sediments of the Calvert Bluff Formation, on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic Paleustalfs). Rare in area, a small population.
