Habitat and Description: In low spots in bermudagrass improved pasture on nearly level landscape underlain by Pleistocene terrace deposits, on soils mapped as deep sandy loam Aquertic Chromic Hapludalfs (Nez Series). Associates included Aristida purpurea, Asclepias oenotheroides, Baptisia bracteata, Briza minor, Callirhoe involucrata, Chloris cucullata, Cirsium horridulum, Coreopsis nuecensis, Cynodon dactylon, Gamochaeta purpurea, Hedeoma hispida, Hedypnois cretica, Krigia cespitosa, Lechea sp., Lepidium virginicum, Lolium multiflorum, Nassella leucotricha, Plantago aristata, P. rhodosperma, Polypremum procumbens, Rumex hastatulus, Silene gallica, Sporobolus indicus, Trifolium dubium, T. resupinatum, Trifurcia lahue, Vulpia octoflora. Common.
