Habitat and Description: In mixed sparse vegetation on limestone bedrock exposed on scour plain about 1 foot above normal level of river. Associates included Acacia rigidula, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Bouteloua curtipendula, Clematis drummondii, Cynodon dactylon, Diospyros texana, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Gymnosperma glutinosum, Indigofera lindheimeriana, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Leptochloa dubia, Linum rupestre, Palafoxia callosa, Porophyllum scoparium, Thelesperma simplicifolium. Subshrub or suffrutescent perennial with many branches from a tight base; disks yellow; frequent.
