Habitat and Description: In grassland openings in live oak woodland on nearly level upland underlain by Glen Rose Limestone, on soils mapped as shallow, well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline silty clay (Doss Series, Typic Calciustolls). Associates included Asclepias asperula, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Cirsium texanum, Coreopsis sp., Daucus pusillus, Elymus sp., Glandularia bipinnatifida, Heliotropium tenellum, Hymenopappus scabiosaeus, Melampodium leucanthum, Panicum hallii, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Plantago rhodosperma, Ratibida columnifera, Spermolepis inermis, Tetraneuris linearifolia, Thelesperma filifolium, Tridens muticus, Warnockia scutellarioides, Wedelia hispida. Stems trailing; occasional.
