Habitat and Description: Among creosotebush shrubs on very gently sloping upland underlain by tuffaceous sandstone and conglomerate of the Tascotal Formation. Associates included Acleisanthes longiflora, Baileya multiradiata, Boerhavia sp., Bouteloua barbata, Chamaesyce theriaca, Cylindropuntia imbricata, Dalea neomexicana, Dasyochloa pulchella, Echinocactus horizonthalonius, Fouquieria splendens, Kallstroemia parviflora, Larrea tridentata, Nerisyrenia camporum, Pectis papposa, Talinum aurantiacum, Yucca torreyi. Common.
