Habitat and Description: In open portions of live oak - post oak woodland on level upland underlain by Sycamore Sand, on soils mapped as moderately deep, well drained, neutral cobbly clay loam (Spicewood association, Pachic Argiustolls). Associates included Aristida 32799, Bromus catharticus, Callirhoe involucrata, Calylophus berlandieri, Centaurea melitensis, Commelina erecta, Cyperus spp., Galium texense, Helenium amarum var. badium, Helianthemum georgianum, Hybanthus verticillatus, Hypochoeris glabra, Lechea san-sabeana, Lotus purshianus, Monarda punctata, Nuttallanthus texanus, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. lindheimeri, Plantago wrightiana, Polypremum procumbens. Occasional.
