Habitat and Description: In open portions of live oak - post oak woodland on level upland underlain by Sycamore Sand, on soils mapped as moderately deep, well drained, neutral cobbly clay loam (Spicewood association, Pachic Argiustolls). Associates included Allium canadense var. fraseri, Avena sativa, Callirhoe involucrata, Chloris 32812, Croton lindheimerianus, Dichanthelium sp., Digitaria cognata, Froelichia gracilis, Gaillardia pulchella, Gamochaeta purpurea, Helenium amarum var. badium, Lepidium virginicum, Paspalum sp., Plantago wrightiana, Polycarpon tetraphyllum, Tridens texanus, Verbesina encelioides.
