Habitat and Description:
In rotationally-grazed grassland on upper part of N-facing slope on gently rolling landscape underlain by Miocene clay and sandstone of Fleming Formation, on soils mapped as moderately deep, well drained sandy clay loam Udic Calciustolls (Carbengle Series). Seasonally dominated by Nassella leucotricha, Dichanthelium sp. Other associates included Aristida purpurea, Bifora americana, Bromus catharticus, Callirhoe involucrata, Castilleja indivisa, Cnidoscolus texanus, Dichondra caroliniensis, Hordeum pusillum, Lindheimera texana, Lupinus texensis, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Polycarpon tetraphyllum, Rumex hastatulus, Schrankia sp., Silene gallica, Trifurcia lahue, dozens of generalists.
