Locality: United States, Texas, Uvalde, Roadside bank, ca. 5.1 miles north of Intersection of Hwy. 83 with Road 127. Elev. 1500 ft.
Habitat and Description: Roadside bank. Pebbles, cobbles, and silty soil over gray limestone. Juniperus sp. -scrub live oak- Cercis can complex. Shrub, 2 m. Suckered profusely at base, sparingly branched above. Yellow staminal masses; flowers have mild sweet odor.
