Locality: United States, Texas, Atascosa, 3 miles south of Hindes. Black clay area, apparently poorly-drained.
Habitat and Description: Black clay area, apparently poorly-drained. For miles in this vicinity the mesquite is only about 3 ft. tall; this is an example. With running mesquite, Prosopis reptans, Isocoma palmeri, Sida helleri, and other plants usually indicating subsaline conditions.
