Locality: United States, Texas, Bandera, Sabinal Canyon State Natural Area (now Lost Maples State Natural Area). At edge of water along Hale's Hollow, ca. 1100 ft. W of the confluence of Hale's Hollow and the Sabinal River.
Habitat and Description: Infrequent perennial to 0.5 m high. Heads blackish. With Quercus glaucoides, Juniperus ashei, and Acer grandidentatum.
