Habitat and Description: Cut over woods, lightly grazed, at roadside. Sand. Assoc. Persea borb. - Pinus taeda-Liquidambar complex. w. Callicarpa. Tree, 15 m. Diameter, 40 cm. Crown, 9 m. Branched from 3 m. Medium narrow crown. Fruit green, pebbly smooth. Bark deep ridged in twisting reticulum, dark gray. Leaves have resinous odor when crushed.
