Locality: United States, Texas, Val Verde, Devils River bottom, 300 m. E of power plant near SP tracks, W of US 90. Elev. 950 ft.
Habitat and Description: Gravelly river bottom. Shallow silty soil in loose, stream rounded pebbles, cobbles and boulders. Juglans mic.-Prosopis gland.-Chilopsis lin.-Hymenoclea mono. complex. Shrubby perennial herb, ca. 75 cm. Yellow corollas. Flowers have sweet resinous odor. Covers ground here.
